Freedom House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID #27-0248325) with a mission to bring hope, restoration, and a new life to survivors of human trafficking. You generous support helps to provide safe housing and long-term aftercare services to program participants at The Monarch for women, located in San Mateo County, and The Nest for adolescent girls in Santa Clara County.

Our Freedom Champions commit to monthly giving! Would you like to join us?

  1. You will make a greater impact: Your regular gift is a sustainable resource to provide vital services to survivors from the first day they arrive at our shelters until they’re ready to leave the program, moving toward independence. In other words, local survivors are counting on you to meet their immediate and long-term needs! You will create a lasting legacy in changing the lives of these women and girls who are caught in the clutches of bondage and exploitation.
  2. You will receive updates: As a partner, you will be informed regularly on how your gift is restoring the lives of local survivors. You also will be invited to attend a special Freedom Champions event and discuss Freedom House with Jaida Im, Founder and Executive Director.
  3. You will have flexibility and convenience while contributing to a worthy cause: Any monthly amount you decide to give will help survivors receive personalized case management, mental health therapy, educational resources, life-skills coaching, and job opportunities. For your record-keeping we’ll send you a receipt for your total donations at the end of each year.
  4. You have choice: If you prefer to provide your monthly Freedom Champions contribution by mail, you may send a check made payable to Freedom House at P.O. Box 2065, Burlingame, CA 94011.

Become a Freedom Champion by clicking “Give Now” and selecting the “Recurring Donation” option to specify your gift. By making your commitment today, you will help transform lives as we work together to make a difference in the fight against modern-day slavery by rescuing one human being at a time.

Before I came to Freedom House, I was in a very dark place. I was so terrified and uncertain about everything. I had nothing. No direction and no hope. Things were so hard, and I had nowhere to turn to. I came to Freedom House… My first week was so sad. All I could do was watch movies to distract myself. Every night I cried in my room, wondering what would happen to me since I came into the house with nothing. I thought the feelings of fear and hopelessness would never go away. During the first few weeks, I was introduced to the amazing staff and volunteers at Freedom House. They showed me so much love. One volunteer drove from very far away just to come see me every week. I shared so much with her. She knew all my dreams, and I felt like I could just express myself. The people at Freedom House cared about me and became my friends. They helped me build my self-esteem and have hope for my future. Because of their love, I felt at home.
